day 99 (I Resolve in Thread to... relax more and maybe read a book or two)

I am going to start reading books again. I used to be an avid reader. I still am but I mostly read how to and design books (which I love) but this year  I want to read for pure kicks.

too funny, I just browsed through that book last night at Chapters... (thought of my ben)! Sounds like you, me (and Caren makes 3) all want to be more bookish this new year.. maybe we should start a crafting.tea sipping.thrifting.book club!

we are on the same wavelength! I just blogged about wanting to take the time to read; I miss getting lost in the pages of a book.
I also want to read squirrel seeks chipmunk (the cover makes me swoon!).
p.s. I want to hang out in a hammock like your stitched girl is. *dreamy look*

I know exactly how you feel - in 2010 I read over 100 books, and this year I barely managed half of that! Wishing you the best of luck, and if you ever need book recommendations I'd love to share! ^^

Sooooo cute. I love lounging in a comfy hammock during the summer with a great book. You are so, so talented! I'll be adding you to my must-reads

Great Choice! David Sedaris is absolutely lovely. His dry wit and sarcasm are unmatched.
I especially love the collaboration with illustrator Ian Falconer. Looking forward to seeing some Sedaris inspired embroidery :)
